I have had the honor of performing for and meeting with hundreds of 9/11 Family members during the past twenty five years. We have worked together on key issues from early on - WTC Families for Proper Burial sought to ensure Frewsh Kills was not a final resting place. We demanded that key museum planners would not turn the WTC Museum into a political circus tent. We raised 9/11 First Responder health issues from the very beginning of cleanup operations, signing legislation to ensure these heroes would have access to quality healthcare. Most recently we are compelling New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill to take action and complete the construction of the Official New Jersey WTC Empty Sky Memorial (twenty tears later).
The most frustrating challenge - government delays - twists and turns and smoke and mirrors in our decades-old demand for truth, justice and accountability. With a trial now slated for 2028, I call Absolute Bullshit.
We are not done yet!
There is more work ahead and new generations must become involved to ensure we Never Forget.
